Clare articled with JML after completing her Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria, and she is now a JML Associate, working primarily in family law.
Prior to law school, Clare received a B.A. in English and Italian Literature at Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
During her undergraduate studies, she received the Clair Strickland Vair Scholarship for academic achievement in English Literature in 2011, and was a two-time recipient of the Clare Murray Fooshee Poetry Prize.

Prior to joining Jenkins Marzban Logan LLP, Clare worked with the University of Victoria’s Law Centre and Environmental Law clinic programs, which provide pro bono services to clients in the Victoria area.
Through her work with the Law Centre Program, Clare has represented clients on criminal, civil, family, and human rights matters. Since then, she has appeared in Chambers in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Vancouver on a variety of family and civil applications.
Clare is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law Section, Women Lawyers Forum, and Civil Litigation Section in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Authored and self-published “Who Carried Me?”, a children’s book on the law of customary adoption in Nunavut.
Edited the Evidence and Property chapters of the Continuing Legal Education Family Law Sourcebook (2015-2016 Edition).
In her downtime, Clare enjoys cooking, writing, running, and very long boardgames.
